专利摘要:
A composite electrode for storage batteries and the like comprises a metal current-carrying support provided with a surface array of perforations and covered on opposite sides with perforate synthetic-resin layers of net, screen, fabric or the like. These synthetic-resin layers are fused together at points through the openings of the metal support. The synthetic-resin layers may form retaining pockets for the active mass and the latter may be covered on both sides or one side of the electrode with additional layers of porous synthetic-resin material, preferably a fleece or mat of nonwoven synthetic-resin fibers.

(54) ELECTRODE FOR ELECTRIC BATTERY AND METHOD FOR HIS PRODUCTION
The invention relates to the electrical industry and can be used in the manufacture of electric batteries.
A known electrode for an electric battery containing a metal base with holes, provided with a porous plastic coating, the pore diameter of which decreases from the inside to the outside and into which the active mass p J. is introduced.
A method of manufacturing such an electrode consists in applying a plastic double-sided plastic coating to the metal base with holes and injecting an active mass.
The disadvantage of the known method is the complexity of the technological process due to the need to adjust the porosity in the thickness of the coating and the unsatisfactory service life of the electrode.
The closest in technical essence and achievable results
To the proposed invention is an electrode for an electric battery containing an active mass, a current-collecting perforated metal base, provided on both sides with a polyolefin-polyethylene coating in the form of a lattice, the surfaces of which are connected in the region of the holes of the current-carrying metal base, and an additional fine-porous plastic coating, applied to the polyethylene coating in the form of a lattice 2}.

includes the steps of applying a bilaterial polyolefin coating in the form of a lattice onto a removable perforated metal base, applying an additional finely porous plastic coating to the bilateral polyolefin coating and introducing an active mass, carried out under pressure using heat. 3 The service life of such an electrode is about 735 days in a battery, with a bone of 40 Ah. The purpose of the invention is to increase the service life of the electrode. This is achieved by the fact that the lattice surfaces of the polyethylene coating are directly welded to each other, with the polyethylene being fluorinated, and the additional coating can be made of polyester fabric and / or felt. The method of making an electrode is characterized in that the application of a two-sided polyethylene coating is carried out with the help of ultrasound. FIG. f shows the proposed electrode; in fig. 2 - the same, side view in section. The electrode contains a current-collecting perforated metal base 1, provided on both sides with a coating 2 of polyolefin-polyethylene in the form of a lattice, the surfaces of which in the area of the holes 3 of the base are directly welded to each other at points 4. The polyethylene can be fluorinated for coating. The plastic coating 2 is coated with an additional finely porous plastic coating 5, the sides of which can be joined to each other along the edge of the base 1 by a welded seam 6 The additional coating can be made of polyester fabric and / or felt. PRI me R. A two-sided polyolefin coating in the form of a grid 0.5 mm thick with a spacing of bridges 2-3 is applied to the base of the melted alloy of lead, calcium and tin of size 70 x I20 mm and holes of approximately 4 x 4 mm and 1.3 mm thick. mm All three layers are subjected to the action of an ultrasonic zonator at a pressure of 1030 kg / cm. In this case, both lattices are pointwise connected through the openings of the surface of the melted metal. Then, on one side, a nonwoven material of polyester fiber 0.5 mm thick and of the same size is welded onto the grid. Then, it is filled by wet pasting with a positively ground active mass (mixture of lead and lead oxide). After drying the filled electrode, the second side of the polypropylene nonwoven fabric is welded onto the still open side by ultrasound. Now the active mass is introduced into a multitude of small geometric forms of the structure. The electrode thus obtained is introduced into sulfuric acid and is charged. The service life of such an electrode is in the order of 850 days in a 40 Ah battery. Claim 1. An electrode for an electric battery containing an active one. a mass, a current-collecting perforated metal base, provided on both sides with a polyolefin-polyethylene coating in the form of a lattice, whose surfaces are connected in the region of the holes of a current-collecting metal base, and an additional small-pore plastic coating | applied on a polyethylene grid-like coating, characterized in that, in order to increase the service life, the grid surfaces of the polyethylene coating are directly welded to each other. 2. Electrode according to claim 1, characterized in that fluorinated polyethylene is taken. 3. The electrode according to claim 1, characterized in that the additional coating is made of polyester fabric and / or felt. 4. A method for manufacturing an electrode according to claim 1, including the stages of applying a double-sided polyolefin coating in the form of a grid on a current-withdrawing perforated metal base, applying an additional small-pore plastic coating to the double-sided polyolefin coating and introducing an active mass, carried out under pressure using heat, about 20 tons and in that the application of a two-sided polyolefin coating is carried out using ultrasound.
